President Bola Tinubu has hailed the 2023 election that brought him to power as the most credible ever in Nigeria’s history, despite ongoing legal challenges.
President Tinubu stated, “Yes, we are facing challenges in court, but I think this is the most credible election in Nigeria. So, we must congratulate ourselves. As a democrat, those who cannot accept the results of a free and fair election do not deserve the joy of victory.”
During the meeting, the President addressed the affairs of the party, emphasizing the importance of unity, stability, and love among members. He urged party members to consider their service as an opportunity to fulfill their dreams and those of the nation’s founding fathers.
Acknowledging governance issues, President Tinubu assured the public that his administration is taking them head-on. He revealed that ministerial lists have been submitted to the Senate for screening and approval, further emphasizing the commitment to establish a government by the people, for the people.
Touching on Nigeria’s economic situation, President Tinubu expressed readiness to re-engineer the country’s economy, assuring that policies would prioritize the welfare of the citizens rather than punitive measures.
In a slight deviation from domestic affairs, the President also addressed the international political scene. He disclosed that messages were sent to Europe and America, seeking assistance while reiterating the country’s importance on the continent. However, he emphasized that help should not compromise Nigeria’s joy, peace, and happiness.
Wrapping up his address, President Tinubu urged the party’s leaders to stand united for a common purpose, stressing that the future would not forgive any deviations from the path of unity.
