The complimentary train ride for Nigerians has been prolonged by the federal government until Sunday, January 7, 2024.
In the festive spirit, President Bola Tinubu sanctioned the provision of free train rides nationwide from December 21, 2023, to January 4, 2024.
Additionally, Tinubu announced that the government will subsidize 50% of transportation fares for interstate road travelers throughout the country during the Yuletide season.
The disclosure was made by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, during a briefing with State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Alake affirmed that all necessary logistics for the execution of these initiatives have been meticulously coordinated between the Minister of Transportation and relevant stakeholders, including transport unions and luxury bus owners.
