Tinubu heads to Paris for two-week working visit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart Nigeria for Paris, France, on Wednesday, April 2, for a two-week working visit, according to a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

During the visit, Tinubu will evaluate the mid-term performance of his administration, review key achievements, and assess the progress of ongoing reforms. The trip will also serve as a strategic planning session in preparation for his administration’s second anniversary.

“This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year,” the statement noted.

Reports indicate that the President’s convoy was spotted leaving his official residence around 11:00 am.

The statement also highlighted recent economic gains under Tinubu’s leadership, citing a rise in Nigeria’s net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion, up from $3.99 billion in 2023, as reported by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Despite his absence, Tinubu is expected to remain actively engaged in governance and maintain oversight of national affairs.

The President is scheduled to return to Nigeria in two weeks.
