Social critic, Deji Adeyanju has come hard on Bola Tinubu after clinching the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
IDOMA VOICE reports the Asiwaju of Lagos garnered half of the total votes to beat his major opponents, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.
About 2,322 delegates from across the country had stormed Eagles Square, Abuja, to elect the flagbearer of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.
While Tinubu, who doubles as the National Leader of the party, got 1,299 votes, his major opponents, Amaechi and Osinbajo secured 316 and 235 votes respectively.
The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan got 152 votes while the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, scored 47 votes.
Reacting, Adeyanju wondered if the Aso Villa is now a sickbay that sick leaders now go for treatment.
He wrote, “80yr old sick Tinubu set to win APC presidential ticket. Is Aso Rock now a sickbay?”
