President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Aminu as the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
IDOMA VOICE reports that in a statement released by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga yesterday, noted that Dr. Aminu holds a PhD in Automobile Technology and a Master’s in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
With 28 years of experience in teaching, administration, research, and policy development, Dr. Aminu previously served as Director of Procurement at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI). A strong advocate for vocational education and skills development, he has authored multiple publications on innovative teaching methods, youth empowerment, and poverty alleviation. He is also a member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria and the Automotive and Locomotive Engineers Institute.
President Tinubu urged him to use his expertise to drive transformational leadership at NABTEB, ensuring the agency continues to assess and certify skilled professionals essential for Nigeria’s industrial growth.
Additionally, President Tinubu appointed Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe as Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Board.
Other key appointments at UBEC include Rasaq Olajuwon as Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) and Tunde Ajibulu as Deputy Executive Secretary (Services).
Mr. Olorunnimbe, known for his leadership in youth empowerment and education, is the Group CEO of The Temple Company, which he founded in 2016. He previously served on the Board of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), where he led impactful youth employment and entrepreneurship programs.
Mr. Olajuwon, before his appointment, was Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA), while Mr. Ajibulu, a Fellow of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), is a Director at Tangent Construction Nigeria Limited and a Partner at Covenant Consultancy Services.
President Tinubu called on the appointees to strengthen the nation’s human capital, drive educational reforms, and enhance service delivery at UBEC to ensure wider access to quality basic education across Nigeria.
