Tinubu makes new appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has designated Rinsola Abiola, daughter of the late South-West politician Moshood ‘MKO’ Abiola, as Senior Special Assistant on Citizenship and Leadership.

This recent appointment comes just two months after Tinubu appointed another member of the Abiola family, Jamiu Abiola, as Special Assistant on Special Duties.

A post via X mentions Rinsola’s focus on collaborating with the Ministry of Youth’s leadership to advance civic education, political literacy, and the inclusion of marginalized groups.

Additionally, Tinubu has appointed Titilope Gbadamosi as Special Assistant on the Delivery and Monitoring of Youth Initiatives. Her role involves crafting operational strategies to ensure that youth initiatives’ outcomes align with Tinubu’s commitments to the Nigerian youth.

The presidency confirmed these appointments in statements released on Friday.

In a separate development, former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo has dismissed rumors of any conflict or disagreement between himself and President Bola Tinubu. Dokubo emphasized that his bond with Tinubu extends beyond politics and is deeply personal.

During a visit to his home in Obuama, Rivers State, by prominent businessman Tein Jack-Rich, Dokubo reiterated his unwavering support for President Tinubu. Jack-Rich also encouraged Dokubo to remain steadfast in his endorsement of Tinubu’s economic agenda for Nigeria, particularly benefiting the Niger Delta region.
