1. The Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, has hinted that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has visited the All Progressive Congress’ presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in France.
Igbokwe, who is a former spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State wrote, “While they are on social media abusing everybody, Governor Wike goes to France to meet Asiwaju.
2. Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC from the Northwest geopolitical zone have resolved to aggregate their interests and engage the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The decision of the Northwest APC leaders comes on the heels of ongoing consultations by Tinubu with critical stakeholders on the choice of his running mate.
3. Reverend ShalomKelvin Akinbo, the Head Pastor of Doers Nation International Church, in Akure, the Ondo State capital, has suggested that Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), used “strange powers” to secure the ruling party’s ticket.
Reverend ShalomKelvin, however, prophesised that the former Lagos governor will not be the one that would succeed President Muhammadu Buhari when the retired military officer hands over to his successor on 29 May 2023.
4. Three lawyers have filed a suit before the federal high court in Abuja, seeking the disqualification of Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, as presidential candidates.
The plaintiffs want the court to issue an order restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognising Tinubu, Abubakar and Obi as presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP), respectively, in the 2023 elections.
5. The leadership of the Action Alliance (AA) has dispelled the alleged litigation instituted against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that the party has nothing against Tinubu.
The National Chairman of the party, Hon Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, in a statement issued on Thursday, said that the APC presidential standard-bearer has not committed any offence that will warrant a court case against him by the party.
6. An Igbo group, under the auspices of Ndigbo in All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos, have expressed assurance to vote en-bloc for the Presidential Candidate and National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential poll.
The leader of the group and Special Adviser to the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, declared this at a crucial and special meeting of the group, held in Ikeja, Lagos.
