Today, Saturday, July 11, 2022 on update on Bola Tinubu, IDOMA VOICE looks at the latest activities, news on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

1. The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu has picked Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
Tinubu said he picked Shettima due to his loyalty and experience.

2. Nigerians, particularly Christians have kicked against the emergence of Shettima as Tinubu’s running mate.
They beleive Tinubu is insensitive and want to instigate reliogios vioklence.

3.The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has advised his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to look after himself.

Kwankwaso warned Tinubu to pay attention to his health.

4. Osita Okechukwu, the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, VON, has described the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima as moderate Muslims.

Okechukwu said Tinubu and his running mate are moderate and not ultra Muslims.

5. The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has reacted to the choice of former Borno State Governor, Senator Kashim Shettima, as the running mate of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The umbrella Christian organisation on Sunday, made it clear it was not moved by the Muslim-Muslim ticket and would stand its ground against every form of intimidation.
6. Former Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Adedayo Adeyeye, said the standard bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s choice of Senator Kashim Shettima is a winning ticket.

Adeyeye, who is the leader of South West Agenda for Asiwaju, (SWAGA), a group rooting for Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidency in 2023, described the choice of the former governor of Borno State as a round peg in a round hole.

7. The All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to the emergence of former Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima as its vice presidential candidate.

APC described Shettima as a competent, capable and reliable choice.

8. Nigeria’s Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has described Bola Tinubu’s running mate, Senator Kashim Shetima as a perfect choice.

Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Sunday revealed that Shettima will be his running mate in 2023.

9. Deji Adeyanju, an Abuja-based rights activist, has reacted to the decision of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, to pick a Muslim running mate for the 2023 elections.

Adeyanju, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Sunday, said, “Tinubu’s pick of Shettima is a very strong ticket.

10. Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has again called the attention of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to an alleged plot by some people from the North to make him fail woefully in the 2023 presidential election.

HURIWA warned that if patriotic Nigerians are not vigilant and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is allowed to rig the election in favour of Muslim-Muslim ticket next year, “then there will inevitably be a break out of prolonged religious war in Nigeria.”
