‘Jihad against Christians’ – Omokri reacts as Tinubu names El-Rufail campaign DG
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has described as Jihad against Christians the decision of APC presidential flag bearer to name Nasir El-Rufai as his campaign Director General.
Omokri said it is unfair that both presidential candidate and his deputy are both Muslims and still went ahead to pick another Muslim as DG.
He tweeted;
Tinubu named El-Rufai as the DG of his campaign? Wow! This is a subtle Jihad against Christians?
2023: Atiku, Tinubu face fresh disqualification
The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has called for the disqualification of the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2023 election.
The Kaduna State Chairman of the NNPP, Sani Litti urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify TInubu and Atiku on the grounds of alleged financial crimes during their respective presidential primaries.
Speaking on Monday, Litti called for the arrest of Tinubu and Atiku by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to him, “We call on INEC to disqualify Atiku Abubakar and Bola Ahmed Tinubu from contesting the presidential election in 2023 and also for the EFCC, the Police, and DSS to arrest them and all other actors who participated in the convention.
Amaechi under fire over comment on Tinubu
Some supporters and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress have come hard on former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi over his claim that delegates who voted at the APC primary were bribed to influence the outcome of the convention.
Amaechi had claimed that many of those who were induced with money are now regretting their action.
Some of them, while reacting, said Amaechi was exhibiting traits of frustration after losing out to Tinubu.
Tinubu, Shettima face disqualification over Muslim-Muslim ticket
The All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu have been dragged to court for fielding presidential and vice-president candidates who are not Muslims.
An Abuja-based lawyer, Osigwe Momoh in the suit, seeks an order of perpetual injunction restraining the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) from publishing the name of the APC presidential candidate in the forthcoming coming elections for violation of the Nigeria Constitution.
The suit marked, FHC/ABJ/CS/1188/2022 claimed that the decision to pick the Party’s presidential flagbearer and the running mate from the same religion violates the principle and the spirit of the Nigeria Constitution.
2023: Why Tinubu picked Muslim as running mate – Fayemi
Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has stated that Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate settled for a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket based on political strategy.
He spoke while hosting the new executives of the Ekiti State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, led by its Chairman, Emmanuel Aribasoye.
APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu picked Kashim Shettima, a Northern Muslim, as his running mate, against the agitations by Nigerians.
However, Fayemi urged Christians to be more involved in politics.
Atiku endorsed Muslim-Muslim ticket – Tinubu
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has said that his PDP counterpart, Atiku Abubakar endorsed the same faith ticket.
According to him, Atiku once begged him to be his running mate.
Tinubu said through the Director, Media and Communication of his campaign organization, Mr Bayo Onanuga.
He said, “Atiku, ever an expert in not telling the truth, also did not come clean over his once-upon a time preference for same-faith ticket.READ MORE
Tinubu bombs Atiku, calls ex-VP pathological liar
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has accused his counterpart from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar of lying over his comment on Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Tinubu said Atiku asked him to be his running mate in 2007 but he refused.
Atiku, who was the Action Congress, AC, presidential candidate in 2007, had said Tinubu wanted to be his running mate then.
The former Vice President said his refusal and insistence on a Southern Christian led to a breakdown in his relationship with Tinubu.

2023 presidency: Tinubu shuns Buhari
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was absent as President Muhammadu Buhari hosted a delegation led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders at the State House, Abuja, on Friday.
The delegation included the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Idris Wase, the APC Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, and other key members of the party.
They were all ushered in to see Buhari at about 3pm.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu has said the party will ensure the victory of presidential flag bearer Bola Tinubu in 2023.
Adamu spoke on Saturday at a meeting of party leaders with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
‘‘Our main goal is to see the success of the APC in the forthcoming general elections.

Fake bishops: Tinubu asked to withdraw from presidential race
All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been asked to withdraw from the race.
Ths followed the alleged hiring of unknown persons to dress as bishops.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which made this call, described the APC’s alleged action as unpardonable.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon Debo Ologunagba stated this Friday at a press conference in Abuja claimed the APC is collapsing ahead of the 2023 elections.
“Such action is unacceptable and unbecoming of any individual aspiring to a leadership position at any level let alone, the office of the President. This is an embarrassment to leadership,” he stated.READ MORE
1.The Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation on Thursday says it plans to unveil a 40-man think tank committee that will formulate the expectations of Nigerians when the former national leader of the All Progressives Congress wins the 2023 general election.
The committee, expected to be inaugurated on Wednesday, will be chaired by former governor of Edo State and two-term senator, Oserheimen Osunbor.
2.Youths of the All Progressives Congress called on President Muhammadu Buhari and Tinubu to replace the vice presidential candidate of the APC with a Christian as the vice presidential candidate of the party.

5. General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has debunked reports making the rounds that he has endorsed Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election.
RCCG dismissed the report of the endorsement, saying Pastor Adeboye and the RCCG have not and would not endorse any candidate.

8. A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, Elton Onwu, on Monday slammed critics crediting the presidential flagbearer of the APC, Bola Tinubu, with a defeatist statement after the outcome of the Osun State governorship election.
According to him, the post was lifted from his page by some unknown persons, shared on various social media platforms and subsequently published by online newspapers.
9. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), says Nigerians will suffer if they continue to recycle politicians in leadership positions.
In an opinion piece where he analysed the three major presidential candidates – Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi — the senior advocate said none of them is a perfect fit for the office.

According to the group, this will allow Nigerians to have access to the presidential candidate.
13.A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Abayomi Mumuni has said the recent defeat of the APC in the 2022 gubernatorial election will not affect the changes of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of APC in 2023.
Mumuni, who contested in a gubernatorial election on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) in 2011 in Lagos State, made this disclosure on Tuesday.
