Today, Thursday, July 7, 2022 on update on Bola Tinubu, IDOMA VOICE looks at the latest activities, news on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
1. A political group, Think BAT ’23, rooting for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 general election, has lauded Nigerians for the growing support being given daily to the former Lagos State governor’s presidential bid.
Think BAT ’23 Diaspora Coordinator, Malaysia Chapter, Oluwatoyin Ajewole, who noted that Tinubu would replicate the Lagos Development Agenda in Nigeria, said Nigerians in the diaspora would mobilise for his victory to realise the lofty agenda.
2. As the 2023 general election inches closer, no fewer than 10,000 women in the All Progressives Congress (APC) have mobilised support for the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the party.
The women, under the aegis of APC Nigeria Women in Politics, however, urged Tinubu to consider a woman as his running mate in the forthcoming presidential election.
3. A Federal High Court in Abuja has been asked to stop the All Progressives Congress from replacing Alhaji Kabiru Masari as the running mate to the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Two chieftains of the APC, who were delegates in the party’s primaries and convention, Zakari Maigari and Zubainatu Mohammed, approached the court to stop INEC from accepting a change of vice presidential candidate from the APC.
4. All Progressives Congress presidential standard-bearer, Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated former National Vice Chairman (South-South) of the party, Chief Hilliard Etta, on the attainment of 60.
Asíwájú Tinubu who is also the APC National Leader said Etta has paid his dues and contributed immensely to the country and the party.
5. A pro-Governor Yahaya Bello group, GYB Network 4 Asiwaju, has assured the national leadership of Tinubu Support Groups (TSO) that arrangements have been put in place to deliver the State for the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 100 percent.
The assurance was given when the Kogi state coordinator of GYB Network 4 Asiwaju, Alhaji Haddy Ametuo, visited the national coordinator of TSO in Abuja, Hon James Abiodun Faleke.
6. Prophet Bisi Olujobi of Wisdom Church of Christ International in Ketu, Lagos State, has predicted that the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, would win the 2023 presidential election.
Olujobi said Tinubu would win, but his enemies would use his health issues against him.
7. The apex Igbo political organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, on Wednesday said the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi is a monster to the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar and the All Progressives Congress’ Bola Tinubu.
Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, said the PDP and APC are nervous about Obi’s popularity.
8. The United Arewa Youth Council in collaboration with the Northern Civil Society Groups have endorsed Rev Yakubu Pam as the running mate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, the national coordinator and secretary of the Arewa Youth Council and the Northern Civil Society Groups, Mal Danladi Iliya and Pat Dauda respectively, said as concerned stakeholders, they conducted separate study on the most suitable candidate for the vice presidential slot and discovered that Pam is suitable.
