Peter Obi better than Atiku, Tinubu – Datti

Labour Party Vice Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahed, has said that the party’s presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi, has what it takes to return Nigeria to the right path of development.

Baba-Ahmed disclosed this in Kano during a visit to the state to commiserate with the victims of Beirut Road GSM and Kantin Kwari textile markets over the building collapse and flooding incidents, respectively, at both markets.

He said, “Nigeria has never had it so well in terms of choice of candidate available to voters with the emergence of Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, as a Presidential candidate.

 

I wonder why PDP still exists, they’ll hear a lot from us – Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said he wonders why the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) still exists as a political party.

Tinubu made this comment during the unveiling of the Tinubu/Shettima door-to-door campaign group in Abuja on Saturday.

The former Governor of Lagos also described the PDP as a party that lacks direction.

It is better for Tinubu to be in Aso Rock than Peter Obi – Deji Adeyanju

Social media commentator, Deji Adeyanju has said it is better for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to emerge president in 2023 than his Labour Party’s counterpart, Peter Obi.

Adeyanju said Tinubu, whom he described as a destroyer is better than Obi and his supporters who he labelled as tyrants.

He wrote, “May Obidents never happen to Nigeria in Jesus mighty name. Amen! They have threatened fellow citizens with death threats and offered nothing but insults in the name of politics . They will never ever go anywhere close to Aso Rock. It is better for Tinubu the destroyer to be in Aso Rock than these tyrants.”

Tinubu, Shettima have abandoned Buhari – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has claimed that the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima have abandoned President Muhammadu Buhari.

PDP claimed that Tinubu and Shettima distanced themselves from the failure of Buhari’s administration.

Debo Ologunagba, the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, made the assertion while further knocking APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, for visiting former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Tinubu: Wike threatens to bring down party structure in Rivers

River State governor, Nyesom Wike, has stated that he is on a mission to bring down the structures of the All Progressives Congress within the oil-rich entity.

WIke made the bold assertion during the commissioning of the Ogbunabali Sandfilled Area in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The governor said he has been busy demolishing APC structures in the South-South state and should not be distracted.

“Some of you, those you rate, you won’t even buy them for a naira. At the appropriate time, I will tell you who they are; the kind of characters we are talking about – people will speak here today, and tomorrow, they will say a different thing. I begin to wonder is it this leader that spoke to me last night? It is very unfortunate,” Wike said.

“Wike and his team are busy here bringing down all structures of APC, providing dividends of democracy. In your own state, you are only talking about Wike,” he added.

Tinubu/Shettima the answer to Nigeria’s problems – South-South group

The South-South Movement for Tinubu/Shettima has said the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima are the answers to Nigeria’s multi-faceted problems.

Rising from its August executive meeting in Warri, Delta State on Monday, the group urged Nigerians to “shun campaigns of calumny against Tinubu/Shettima” ahead of the 2023 general elections describing such as “part of the antics of desperate and drowning politicians”.

This was contained in a communique issued by the group and made available to journalists at the end of the meeting attended by senatorial coordinators and delegates from the six States in the South-South geopolitical zone comprising Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta and Edo States, and anchored by the National Coordinator, Besidone Samuel Eyengho.

Peter Obi, Tinubu not my preferred presidential candidate – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has declared that he has no preferred candidate among those contesting the 2023 presidential election.

Obasanjo, who stated this in Minna on Sunday when he paid former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar a visit, said he only had a national agenda not a preferred candidate.

“I don’t have a special candidate, I have a national agenda.”

The former President also said he was in Minna to visit the former Head of State who had been indisposed.

PDP governors now address Tinubu as Mr President – Deji Adeyanju

Deji Adeyanju, sociopolitical commentator and activist has alleged that some governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party now address Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as Mr president.

Deji claimed that most PDP governors have regular calls and meetings with Tinubu but come out to deceive their followers.

He tweeted, “Can you imagine opposition governors having regular phone calls and meetings with Tinubu and referring to him as Mr. President and they will still come out to lie & deceiving folks! Hopeless set of clowns only interested in striking deals for personal gains.”

Tinubu will defeat Peter Obi hands down – Goodluck Jonahan’s ally

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s aide, Reno Omokri has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a more unique contender above the Labour Party (LP) flag bearer, Peter Obi in the run-up to the 2023 presidential election.

Omokri, while outlining Tinubu’s achievements in series of tweets, explained Obi lacks the characteristics necessary to lead the country compared to the former governor of Lagos State.

He described how both presidential candidates led their respective States, stating Obi invested Anambra resources at a loss but Tinubu invested Lagos resources to make huge profit for the state.

 

Osinbajo, Ameachi, Lawan, 19 other APC presidential aspirants to meet over Tinubu in Abuja

As part of efforts to rally support for the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general election, all the presidential aspirants of the ruling party are slated to meet in Abuja, next week.

The meeting is coming barely three months after some of them went head-to-head at the primary for the presidential ticket of APC that eventually produced Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as party’s flagbearer.

This development is coming less than six months to the Presidential election slated for February 28.

Among those expected to be in attendance are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; former Science and Technology Minister, Ogbonnaya Onu; former Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio.

Nigeria may fail to exist if Tinubu becomes president – Popular pastor

The Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has warned that Nigeria may fail to exist if the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, should emerge winner of the 2023 presidential election, the existence of the country might be threatened.

Giwa stated that Nigerians should be vigilant in preventing the APC from regaining power in order to save the country from collapsing.

Ibrahim Masari, the former placeholder to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, has claimed that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State working for the party.

Masari told BBC Hausa Service on Wednesday that Wike would work for Tinubu’s emergence as president.

“The meeting was basically on the 2023 Presidential election and by God’s grace, we are going to work with His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike.

“He will assist and we are going to win the election with ease, by the will of God,” Masari said.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed why Nigerians should elect Bola Tinubu as their next president in 2023.

Nothing wrong if the president, vice, speaker are from same religion, village – Soyinka backs Tinubu

Ahead of the 2023 general election, Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has given a reason he doesn’t care if Nigeria’s next president, vice-president, and Speaker of the House of Representatives are all from the same religion and village.

Soyinka also said that the same faith ticket won’t be a problem in a “normal society” and that Nigeria has not attained such a “norm”.

Tinubu missing as Atiku, Obi attend NBA 62nd annual conference in Lagos

The All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu was absent at the 62nd annual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Monday.

His major rivals, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the Labour Party flag bearer, Peter Obi were all present at the event which took place at the Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

Tinubu’s running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima was, however, at the event.

A video of how the former Anambra State Governor, Obi was cheered by the crowd at the conference is currently trending on social media.

Atiku, while delivering his speech, restated the need to restructure the country.

“I am a product of developed powers and I know what the regional governments did with those powers. That’s why I’m advocating for restructuring,” he said.

2023: Tinubu will turn Nigeria around like he did in Lagos – Shettima

Kashim Shettima, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential running mate, has assured Nigerians that the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, would replicate the “wonders” of Borno and Lagos State in Nigeria if elected in 2023.

Shettima gave the assurance during the 2022 Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, conference in Lagos on Monday.

Daysman Oyakhilome, the nephew of Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy has spoken out after being suspended by his uncle.

Recall that weeks ago, it was reported that the founder of Christ Embassy Church suspended his nephew over what he described as acts of “gross misconduct”.

Netizens had speculated that he was suspended for endorsing Tinubu after a picture of him in a campaign poster of the APC’s presidential candidate surfaced online.

2023: Obasanjo reveals jokes he shared with Tinubu during his visit

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has revealed some details of his meeting with the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, when he visited him in his Abeokuta residence on Wednesday.

Recall that Tinubu, on Wednesday visited the ex-president at his Penthouse, located within the premises of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.

Tinubu was accompanied by two former governors of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba and Otunba Gbenga Daniel, billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, and former interim national chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, among others.

Both Obasanjo and Tinubu refused to address the media after their closed door meeting.

Obasanjo, while speaking at the inauguration of a 300-man planning committee on the installation of the new Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Matemilola, said he told Tinubu that he had added two phrases to Yoruba vocabularies.

He said: “We now have two vocabularies in the Yoruba dictionary, ‘Emilokan’ and ‘Olule’. These two vocabularies are now popularly used.

“I asked Bola and he laughed. I said whether the vocabularies are good or bad, we have started using them.”

Tinubu: APC speaks on Buhari chairing presidential campaign council

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has called on the general public to disregard in its entirety the list of members of the council being circulated on social media and published by some online news platforms.

The Director of Media and Publicity of the Campaign, Mr. Bayo Onanuga said the list is not authorised and it is unofficial.

He said the leadership of APC and the Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will formally unveil the campaign council in due time.

Obasanjo said Tinubu will win in 2023 – Gbajabiamila

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, yesterday, said former president Olusegun Obasanjo has assured the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu of victory in 2023.

The Speaker stated that the former President, at the meeting, assured Tinubu of victory in 2023.

But Gbajabiamila, who spoke during the APC Surulere Local Government Area meeting in Surulere, Lagos, said from what he heard there, Tinubu’s presidency was almost a reality.

The Speaker was present at the closed-door meeting between the two leaders in Abeokuta.

2023: Tinubu is your next president – Deji Adeyanju tells Nigerians

Nigerians have been asked to brace up for a new government headed by Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2023.

Yoruba elders ask Shettima to step down as Tinubu’s running mate

Elders from southwest Nigeria have rejected the All Progressives Congress decision to field a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

The group, under the aegis of Coalition of APC Stakeholders Network and Southwest Supporters of Tinubu, made the call on Monday during a peace protest to the State House Alausa.

According to them, the only obstacle between the former Lagos State and the presidency in 2023 is his running mate, Senator Kassim Shettima.

In his address, the group’s President-General, Elder Arokoyo Samuel, described Tinubu as a “political colossus and astute political strategist” who has successfully built an enviable foundation for the party.

The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign for the 2023 general elections, Simon Bako Lalong has apologized over his ‘blasphemous’ remarks about the Holy Father, Pope Francis.

Lalong, who is the governor of Plateau State tendered an unreserved apology to the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) and the Pontiff.

The governor admitted that his comment does not make sense and should have been uttered in the first place.

Mr. Bilal Abdullahi, the Middle-Belt Congress leader, while briefing newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja, explained that the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC, came with its attendant political baggage.

Don’t come to southeast to campaign – Igbo youths warn Tinubu, supporters

Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his supporters have been asked to steer clear of Igbo land.

A youth group, under the auspices of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL), gave the warning in a statement on Wednesday.

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has reacted to reports alleging that he demanded N50 billion monthly from the former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode during his administration.

Tinubu was reacting to an online report that part of his inability to secure the APC governorship ticket in 2018 was his refusal to remit the said amount to Asiawaju.

Debunking the report on Tuesday, a statement by the Director, Media and Communications for Tinubu Campaign Organisation(TCO), Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu could not have made such a demand.

The presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has sent out passionate message to his counterpart in the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi.

Tinubu said Obi should as a matter of urgency call his supporters to order, warning that “falsehood and disinformation will not win elections”.

Tinubu, in a statement by his campaign organisation, on Wednesday, urged Obi to caution his supporters and to allow the election circle to be about issues that will advance the growth, progress and stability of the country.

Pope has not told me to reject Tinubu – Lalong

Plateau State governor and Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, Simon Lalong, on Wednesday, said he was yet to receive any advice from Pope Francis to reject his recent appointment to lead the campaign for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

“As a Catholic, everything we do, we send the advice to the Pope. The Pope has not told me that what I’m doing is bad to accept the Director-General. As a Catholic, we take that direction,” Lalong said.

2023 presidency: APC leaders in north central reject Tinubu/Shettima

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shetima have suffered a rejection in North Central Nigeria.

This is just as political leaders from the region said Tinubu and Shettima will not get their support ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, stakeholders from the North Central, stated this while faulting the adoption of Muslim-Muslim ticket by the party.

The over 1,000 supporters of the APC, from the six North-central states, also rejected the appointment of Governor Simon Lalong as Director General, DG, of Bola Tinubu Campaign Council.

Chimaroke Nnamani speaks on Tinubu suffering from memory loss

Former Enugu State Governor, Chimaroke Nnamani has insisted that the All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu is not suffering from dementia.

Nnamani, who represents Enugu East Senatorial District at the red chamber, described Tinubu as “the hardest working Politico of this generation”.

The lawmaker, however, said he would cast his vote for his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

How Wike will work for Tinubu in 2023 revealed

There are indications that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, crisis, Governor Nyesom Wike will work against the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

This is according to a socio-political activist, Deji Adeyanju.

He said Wike might work against Atiku considering his new-found love with APC chieftains.

Adeyanju told Daily Post that: “There is the possibility that Wike will work against Atiku and PDP because all politicians care about is their political interest and self-preservation, but in essence, nobody can tell Rivers people who they should vote for or not at this level.

“But for political expediency and other reasons, you need a governor who can galvanise people so that there would be massive voting, so that people will not be disenfranchised.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has explained why he incited members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who are loyal to Bola Tinubu to commission projects in the state.

Soyinka disowns Pyrates Confraternity members calling Tinubu ‘shaky shaky baba’

Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka has disowned some members of the National Association of Seadogs, popularly known as the Pyrates Confraternity, mocking the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 election, Bola Tinubu.

In the video, members of the Confraternity during a procession gyrated to an anti-Tinubu song mocked the former Lagos State governor for a speech he made in June in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where he asked that power should be handed over to him.

The members of the Pyrates Confraternity sang, “Hand dey shake, leg dey shake, Baba wey no well, e de shout emi lo kan (Hands are shaking, legs are shaking. A sick old man is shouting ‘it’s my turn’).

“Emi lo kan (2ce), Baba wey no well, him dey shout emi lokan (It’s my turn (2ce), a sick old man is shouting ‘it’s my turn’”.

2023 presidency: Dino Melaye mocks Tinubu

Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, on Saturday, claimed that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, sees the presidency as his “entitlement and retirement benefits”.

According to Melaye, Tinubu was contesting for the presidency not on basis of the greater good but to fulfill his “lifetime ambition”.

In a video shared on his Facebook page, the former lawmaker who was responding to the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, over his comment on Atiku in a TV interview recently, said, unlike Tinubu, the PDP’s candidate is contesting with rich credentials.

There will be calamity in Nigeria if Tinubu becomes president – Bishop

Electorates in the country have been asked to reject the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu in the 2023 election.

An Anglican Bishop, which made this call on Saturday, said Nigerians can’t afford to suffer for another eight years.

Tajudeen Adefisoye, The lawmaker representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency has said only bastards will not support the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu, the flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Bishop Kayode bombs CAN for rejecting Tinubu/Shettima ticket

The National Coordinator of Integrity Ministers International Ministries, Bishop Kayode Williams has slammed the leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for rejecting the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Williams said there is nothing wrong in the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, picking a Muslim as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.

In an interview with The News Nigeria, the cleric stated that his ministry will be “Supporting Tinubu, and we are going to work and pray hard because it is a directive from God.”

He said: “If you look at Bola Ahmed Tinubu, if you look at his antecedents you will know that he’s a man who always studies very hard. Before he makes decisions and even when he starts because we are following him.

APC dumps El-Rufai, Oshiohmole, appoints new DG for Tinubu’s campaign

In another 11th-hour decision, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has dumped Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai and Adams Oshiohmole as the Director-General of Tinubu Campaign Organisation.

The party has settled for Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalung as head of the campaign DG on Thursday.

Oshiohmole and El-Rufai were earlier penciled down for the job but due to outcry, they were dropped.

Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufai has revealed details of the Monday meeting between the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governors elected on the platform of the party.

According to El-Rufai, a director-general has been picked for APC presidential campaign council.

Speaking after the meeting, he noted that other positions in the council are being discussed.

The governor said President Muhammadu Buhari and Abdullahi Adamu, national chairman of the APC, would be briefed before a formal announcement.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Northern Christian leaders have withdrawn their support for the joint ticket of Tinubu and Shettima.

Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima who are both Muslims are the presidential and running mate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, respectively.

Their have been outrage over the decision of Tinubu to pick a northern Muslim as his running mate against the wish of the people.

Tee Mac denies saying Tinubu is unfit to be Nigeria’s President

Former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli denied the viral report that quoted him as saying that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, is unfit to be Nigeria’s President.

Applesbite reports that Tee Mac in a Facebook comment attacked Tinubu, claiming he is 86 years old, warning Nigerians against voting for him in 2023.

However, in a statement released on Saturday, 30th July, the renowned flutist said the competence of Tinubu to lead Nigeria was never in doubt, stressing that he only expressed fears of the rigors of office.

The leader of pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo, has disclosed that the group backed Peter Obi of the Labour Party to prevent the continuity of the “incompetence” of the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a tweet posted on Friday, Mr Adebanjo said the group is opposed to the candidacy of Bola Tinubu, a Yoruba man, who is the candidate of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) because the former Lagos State governor will ensure continuity of the current administration.

The Action Alliance (AA) has again dragged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC), the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his vice, Senator Kashim; before a Federal High Court over alleged double nomination.

The party, in its earlier suit pending before the Abuja division of the Federal High Court, is seeking the disqualification of the APC from the 2023 presidential polls over alleged act of perjury on the part of its presidential candidate, Tinubu.

The act according to the AA, in the fresh suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1256/2022, contravened Section 35 of the Constitution and the Electoral Act, 2022.

Veteran flutist, Tee Mac, has issued a word of advice to Nigerians regarding the choice of their next president.

In the comment section of a writer, Yemi Olakitan, on Facebook, who had declared his support for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, the flutist alleged that there was so much about the candidate that was shrouded in secrecy.

He said, “Dear Yemi. Any body can choose any candidate, but an intelligent person will ask himself the question: do I choose rightly! Is the man qualified! Is he honest! ‘Jihad against Christians’ – Omokri reacts as Tinubu names El-Rufail campaign DG

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has described as Jihad against Christians the decision of APC presidential flag bearer to name Nasir El-Rufai as his campaign Director General.

Omokri said it is unfair that both presidential candidate and his deputy are both Muslims and still went ahead to pick another Muslim as DG.

2023: Atiku, Tinubu face fresh disqualification

The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has called for the disqualification of the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2023 election.

The Kaduna State Chairman of the NNPP, Sani Litti urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify TInubu and Atiku on the grounds of alleged financial crimes during their respective presidential primaries.

Speaking on Monday, Litti called for the arrest of Tinubu and Atiku by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS).

According to him, “We call on INEC to disqualify Atiku Abubakar and Bola Ahmed Tinubu from contesting the presidential election in 2023 and also for the EFCC, the Police, and DSS to arrest them and all other actors who participated in the convention.

Amaechi under fire over comment on Tinubu

Some supporters and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress have come hard on former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi over his claim that delegates who voted at the APC primary were bribed to influence the outcome of the convention.

Amaechi had claimed that many of those who were induced with money are now regretting their action.

Some of them, while reacting, said Amaechi was exhibiting traits of frustration after losing out to Tinubu.

Tinubu, Shettima face disqualification over Muslim-Muslim ticket

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu have been dragged to court for fielding presidential and vice-president candidates who are not Muslims.

An Abuja-based lawyer, Osigwe Momoh in the suit, seeks an order of perpetual injunction restraining the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) from publishing the name of the APC presidential candidate in the forthcoming coming elections for violation of the Nigeria Constitution.

The suit marked, FHC/ABJ/CS/1188/2022 claimed that the decision to pick the Party’s presidential flagbearer and the running mate from the same religion violates the principle and the spirit of the Nigeria Constitution.

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has stated that Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate settled for a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket based on political strategy.

Fake bishops: Tinubu asked to withdraw from presidential race

All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been asked to withdraw from the race.

Ths followed the alleged hiring of unknown persons to dress as bishops.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which made this call, described the APC’s alleged action as unpardonable.

1.The Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation on Thursday says it plans to unveil a 40-man think tank committee that will formulate the expectations of Nigerians when the former national leader of the All Progressives Congress wins the 2023 general election.

5. General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has debunked reports making the rounds that he has endorsed Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election.

RCCG dismissed the report of the endorsement, saying Pastor Adeboye and the RCCG have not and would not endorse any candidate.

A group, Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), is confident last weekend’s defeat of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the Osun governorship election will not affect the chances of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next year presidential election.

TSO also described the controversy over the choice of Senator Kashim Shettima as the running mate on the basis of the same faith as unwarranted and diversionary.

8. A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, Elton Onwu, on Monday slammed critics crediting the presidential flagbearer of the APC, Bola Tinubu, with a defeatist statement after the outcome of the Osun State governorship election.
According to him, the post was lifted from his page by some unknown persons, shared on various social media platforms and subsequently published by online newspapers.

9. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), says Nigerians will suffer if they continue to recycle politicians in leadership positions.

In an opinion piece where he analysed the three major presidential candidates – Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi — the senior advocate said none of them is a perfect fit for the office.

10. A group of legal practitioners under the Lawyers Network for Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023 has stated it would aggressively canvass and promote the candidacy of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential standard bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The convener, Dotun Ajulo, who spoke at a briefing on Tuesday in Lagos said: “Arising from our last meeting in Osun State, we discovered that as lawyers, our place in the society wields so much influence.

11. The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has reacted to Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo’s successful surgery.

Tinubu wished Osinbajo a speedy recovery.

12. A United Kingdom-based organization, Atlas Global, has announced that a social media platform has been created for the standard flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, to commemorate the former Lagos State governor’s 30 years in politics.

According to the group, this will allow Nigerians to have access to the presidential candidate.

13.A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Abayomi Mumuni has said the recent defeat of the APC in the 2022 gubernatorial election will not affect the changes of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of APC in 2023.

Mumuni, who contested in a gubernatorial election on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) in 2011 in Lagos State, made this disclosure on Tuesday.
