President Bola Tinubu has made changes to the list of ministerial nominees, dropping Dr. Maryam Shetty from Kano State. Instead, he has nominated Mairiga Mahmoud to take her place. The President sent a letter to the Senate, which was read by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, announcing the replacement.
In addition to the change, Tinubu has nominated Festus Keyamo, SAN, the immediate past Minister of Labour and Productivity from Delta State, for screening by the Senate. This brings the total number of ministerial nominees to forty-eight, including Keyamo and the previously submitted eighteen names forwarded by President Tinubu on Wednesday.
