Ahead of Bola Tinubu’s inauguration on Monday, Peter Obi, the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party (LP) in the last election, has appealed to his supporters and fellow citizens to remain calm and abide by the law.
Speaking at an event in Kaduna State, the former Anambra governor stressed the importance of prioritizing peace, unity, and national security over personal interests. Obi emphasized that the resolution of the election outcome would ultimately be determined by the court of law, underscoring the significance of respecting the legal process.
Obi called upon all Nigerian citizens to act within the bounds of the law and actively contribute to the progress and development of the nation. Recognizing that the collective well-being of the country takes precedence, he encouraged unity and cooperation among Nigerians, irrespective of their political affiliations.
“We must continue to live on the path of peace, religious harmony, ethnic harmony, and coexistence, that is the most important thing for now.
“Let’s have a peaceful, quiet Nigeria where the government will concentrate on caring for the sufferings of the people,” Obi stated.
