Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, Monday, 19th September, 2022 commenced a one – week retreat in Toronto, Canada.
Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Titus Uba and the Clerk, Bernard Nule have also attended the retreat.
The theme of the retreat is ” Legislative processes in Government” , and is organized by the leadership of Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria.
The choice of Canada for the retreat according to the organizers was strategic given its shared history of being a Commonwealth nation and democratic experiences with Nigeria.
Participants in the retreat are expected back to the country on September, 27.
