Nigerian Singer, Tiwa Savage, has said her hit song, ‘Somebody’s son’, is about Jesus Christ.
Speaking during a recent performance in the US, the diva said, “When I wrote this song (somebody’s son) a lot of people told me it wasn’t going to be a hit because only females would sing along to it. Men won’t be able to sing somebody’s son.”
“But you know what I told them? When I wrote this song, I was not even thinking about a relationship, I was thinking about Jesus Christ because he is the real somebody’s son.
“So I said to them whether you are a man or woman, people will move to this song because we all need somebody’s son,” she said.
The mother of one released the smash hit single ‘Somebody’s Son’ in October 2021.
The song which was groundbreaking and received two nominations in 2022 from the US National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) for the Image Award for Outstanding International Song and Nigerian Headies award, nominated for Best Recording of the Year.
The Ace artiste was married to Nigerian talent manager Teebillz, in 2013. The marriage, which lasted for 6years, produced a son Jamil Balogun.
