Tiwa Savage vows never to share secrets with her mum again

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has decided never to share confidential information with her mum again following an incident involving her invitation to perform at King Charles III’s coronation.

In an interview with MTV UK, Tiwa revealed that she informed her mum about the prestigious performance but explicitly requested her not to share the news with anyone. However, her mum couldn’t resist, and within 20 minutes, her brother was already calling her, aware of the event.

Initially, Tiwa didn’t realize the significance of performing at the King’s coronation and was unaware of the other performers at the event. She later discovered she was the sole representative of the Commonwealth. Despite the pressure, she embraced the opportunity and considered it an iconic experience.

Tiwa Savage made history as the first Nigerian artist to perform at a British royal event during King Charles III’s coronation concert and Big Lunch in March.
