Tobi Amusan has secured her place in the final of the women’s 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
Overcoming a delayed start, Amusan triumphed in Heat 2, registering a time of 12.56 seconds.
In Heat 2, Jamaica’s Ackera Nuggent claimed the second spot with a timing of 12.60 seconds, closely followed by Canada’s Naddine Visser, who completed the race in 12.62 seconds.
Former world record holder Kendra Harrison secured the first semi-final victory with a rapid time of 12.33 seconds.
Jasmine Camacho-Quinn emerged victorious in Heat 3, crossing the finish line in 12.41 seconds, while Nia Ali secured the second position with a time of 12.49 seconds.
Amusan is set to participate in the event’s final on Sunday night.
Notably, the Nigerian athlete currently holds the record and title of defending champion in this particular event.
