Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah has joined his fifth German club Eintracht Braunschweig on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old Idoma-born goal machine is on the lookout for a new club after his contract with Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin expired at the end of last month.

Ujah put pen to paper on a one-year contract with Bundesliga 2 side, Eintracht Braunschweig, until June 30, 2023, with an option for another season.

Ujah told the club’s official website: “I am very happy to be part of Eintracht in the future. I know the 2nd Bundesliga and will try to help the team with my experience. I was rooting for the cup game at the airport in Nigeria on Sunday and I was really happy for the team.

“At the end of the day we want to celebrate relegation together, and I will invest everything in that,” adds newcomer.

“With Anthony we’ve got an experienced striker who, with his complete fitness, will further enhance our squad on the offensive and especially on goal. At the same time, our young attackers will benefit from his experience. Tony is an absolute team player,” says Eintracht sporting director Peter Vollmann about the new signing.
