President Bola Tinubu swore in seven new ministers at the Council Chambers in Abuja, following a recent cabinet reshuffle aimed at addressing calls for change.
The new ministers include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi (Labour & Employment), Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu (State Foreign Affairs), Dr. Jumoke Oduwole (Industry, Trade and Investment), Idi Mukhtar Maiha (Livestock Development), Yusuf Abdullahi Ata (State Housing and Urban Development), and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad (State Education).
In his speech during the swearing-in ceremony, President Tinubu expressed determination to lead Nigeria towards prosperity, emphasizing that “the ship of Nigeria will not sink” despite current challenges.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar criticized the Tinubu administration’s economic strategies, stating that their only effective plan has been a national prayer, and he suggested that the current policies are erratic and untested.
