No fewer than seven persons have been Wednesday apprehended by the Benue State Internal Revenue (BIRS) Task Force on Illegal Tax Activity for mounting and operating illegal check points.
The culprits who were arrested during a routine check by the task foce were arrested in Gboko, Kwande, Ushongo and Buruku Local Government Areas.
Mr. Adamu Toryue, Mr. Tordue Gwaza were arrested at Tyogbenda Msa, Ushongo Local Government Area while one Mr. Aondofa Agasha was arrested at Ugbema in Buruku Local Government Area; Mr. Msughter Tyoshom was apprehended at the Secretariat in Adikpo Kwande Local Government Area and Mr. Aondofa Chia, Terungwa Tyogbidye and Terseer Amee were all arrested at Buruku Junction, Yandev, Gboko LGA.
All the suspects are handed over to the Police, for prosecution.
