Tragedy averted as 15 passengers escape unhurt in Osun lone accident

Fifteen passengers have escaped unhurt after a white Mazda E2000 bus with registration number AKD21XU was involved in a lone accident along the Gbongan-Ibadan expressway on Tuesday afternoon.

The minor road crash occurred at the Akinrere axis, seven kilometres from Asejire bridge in Irewole Local Government Area Council.

The Osun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) also revealed that the accident was caused by overspeeding on the part of the driver.

The spokesperson of the command, Agnes Ogungbemi revealed that the bus which was conveying nine male and six female adults have been towed to the office of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the area.
