Transfer: Almeria CEO confirms offers for Umar Sadiq

UD Almeria Football Chief, Mohammed El Assy has stated that offers have been received for Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq.

Since he arrived in the Spanish La Liga, Sadiq has been amazing for Almeria netting 41 goals in 81 appearances.

His last season’s performance was instrumental to Almeria securing promotion to the elite division and numerous clubs within and outside Spain has indicated interest in his services.

German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund indicated an interest in him last week but according to a report La Liga side Villarreal seems to lead the race to get him.

The football chief confirmed that Sadiq will leave for the right price.

“Umar Sadiq has not travelled to England to avoid any type of injury that could stop the transfer that is close at the moment.

“He will be sold for just under €30 million euros. We have more than 12-13 players who have received offers, they are players who have a name in the market and are expected to have a great future,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
