Arsenal have set their sights on Brighton’s young striker, Evan Ferguson, as a prospective addition for the long term.

Reported by Football Transfers, Arsenal is strategically planning a move for Evan Ferguson, the promising forward from Brighton, in the upcoming summer. Nevertheless, Brighton is poised to command a substantial fee, with their asking price for the Republic of Ireland prodigy standing at a minimum of £100 million.

Evan Ferguson, at the age of 18, stands as one of the most captivating emerging talents within the English football framework. The previous season marked his breakthrough at the Amex Stadium, during which he garnered significant attention. Former English midfielder Danny Murphy hailed him as an extraordinarily gifted player, while ex-Brighton scorer Glenn Murray even likened him to Erling Haaland, highlighting their shared attributes.

Yet, Ferguson’s place in Brighton’s starting lineup isn’t yet assured, as manager Roberto De Zerbi is meticulously nurturing the teenager’s progression.

In the past season, Ferguson was granted 25 opportunities to feature in the first team for the south coast club, amassing an impressive tally of 10 goals. Additionally, his prowess translated to the Brighton reserve team, where he netted 6 goals in just 9 appearances. These accomplishments culminated in a total of 16 goals across senior and youth tiers of club football as the season concluded.

Standing at 6’2″, the forward exhibits a physical presence that belies his age, and his on-field maturity is evident. Not merely a scorer, he possesses the ability to effectively control the ball and contribute to the team’s buildup play, further enhancing his profile.
