Transfer: Balogun joins Monaco from Arsenal

Monaco have made an official announcement regarding the signing of Folarin Balogun from Arsenal, a Premier League club.

Balogun has inked a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 side.

According to a statement released on Arsenal.com, “Folarin Balogun has completed a permanent transfer to Ligue 1’s AS Monaco. The 22-year-old forward, who initially joined our ranks at the age of ten, progressed through our Academy system, achieving success across various youth divisions. He signed his inaugural professional contract with us in February 2019.”

The statement goes on to express gratitude for Balogun’s contributions to Arsenal, spanning his journey from the Academy to the senior team, and extends well wishes for his new venture at AS Monaco. The transfer is contingent upon the fulfillment of requisite regulatory procedures.

Balogun garnered attention by netting 22 goals in 39 appearances during his loan spell at Stade Reims, another Ligue 1 club, during the past season while still under contract with Arsenal.
