Alexis Sanchez has successfully rekindled his ties with Inter Milan, finalizing a one-year contract with the renowned Serie A giants.
Last summer, Sanchez parted ways with Inter by mutually terminating his contract, opting to join Marseille. However, after encountering challenges in reaching an agreement for a new contract with the Ligue 1 club in recent weeks, the dynamic forward has opted to make his way back to the San Siro. During his previous stint with the Nerazzurri from 2019 to 2022, Sanchez showcased his talents, scoring 20 goals in 109 appearances.
Sanchez played a pivotal role in securing the Scudetto with Inter in 2021, contributing seven goals and seven assists to their triumphant campaign. He also contributed as a substitute in the Coppa Italia victory during the subsequent season.
Sanchez took to social media to express his gratitude to the club’s supporters. He stated, “I had excellent moments here and I’ll keep great memories. A big thank you to the people of Marseille, who always supported me, in the good and the bad moments. I also wanted to clear some things up. I always wanted to stay at Marseille. That didn’t just depend on me. You need two to make an agreement. The technical management had other choices, which I respect.”
