Romelu Lukaku has offered his initial thoughts following his departure from Chelsea to join Roma on loan, expressing admiration for the club’s ambitions.
The Belgian striker conveyed his enthusiasm and readiness to embark on his journey with his new team.
Speaking to the press on Thursday, the former player of Everton, Manchester United, and Inter Milan shared his sentiments.
Lukaku, who spent the previous season on loan at Inter Milan, aimed to secure a permanent place at the club this summer but faced an unsuccessful outcome in those negotiations.
Although Juventus also pursued him, the endeavor to acquire his services didn’t culminate in a successful agreement with Chelsea.
“As an opponent, I felt the atmosphere of the Stadio Olimpico and felt the warmth of the Romanisti.
“It’s nice to know I’m a part of it today. I recently got the opportunity to speak with the owners, and I was impressed by their ambition.
“Now we must work, be humble, and grow game by game. For my part, I can’t wait to be available to my teammates both on and off the pitch.”
