Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) successfully foiled a kidnapping attempt and rescued three victims along the Barkin Ladi-Mangu road in Mairana village, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The operation took place on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, following intelligence reports on the abduction.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the incident in a statement on his official X handle, revealing that the victims were kidnapped around 7:45 a.m.

In response, troops from Sector 8 of Operation Golden Peace quickly mobilized to the scene, where they found a red Ford Space Bus abandoned by the roadside.

“The troops immediately launched a search operation in the surrounding bushes, leading to the successful rescue of the three victims unharmed,” Makama stated.

He added that the kidnappers fled upon spotting security personnel, leaving the victims behind. The rescued individuals were reunited with their vehicle and continued their journey safely.
