Truck collision kills one, injures three in Ogun
One person has died, and three others sustained injuries in a truck accident along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway.
The crash, which occurred around 4:20 a.m. on Friday near the SWAT Office, opposite Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, involved two unregistered trucks—a white Sino truck and a blue Volvo truck.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokesperson, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident, attributing the accident to brake failure and loss of control.
She stated that nine male adults were involved, with five escaping unhurt, while the injured victims were taken to the State Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.
The FRSC Sector Commander, Akinwumi Fasakin, extended condolences to the deceased’s family and urged motorists to conduct routine vehicle checks.
