Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was unhappy with Conor Gallagher following his first half red card.
Chelsea played the game with a man down for more than an hour after Gallagher was sent off in the 28th minute.
Gallagher had started the game brightly but picked up two yellow cards in a space of six minutes, which made Chelsea suffer for the rest of the game.
Speaking after the game, Thomas Tuchel blamed Gallagher for his unnecessary red card.
Tuchel said: “You can’t make the [second] challenge if you have a yellow card after 20 or 25 minutes. The challenge was a clear yellow card and gave us a huge disadvantage.
“There was no reason to make this decision. He is responsible for what he did and of course he knows it was a huge mistake.”
