Uğur Meleke, a renowned columnist for Turkish outlet Hürriyet, believes Victor Osimhen is far beyond the level of the Turkish Super Lig, predicting that the Nigerian striker could score 30 goals for Galatasaray this season—provided he avoids injury and bad luck.
Meleke’s bold forecast comes after Osimhen’s stellar performance in Galatasaray’s 3-2 victory over Samsunspor, where he scored twice, taking his tally for the season to eight goals and four assists across all competitions.
“If Osimhen doesn’t suffer any injuries or bad luck, I wouldn’t be surprised if he scores 30 goals this season,” Meleke wrote.
Since joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli in September, the 25-year-old has made an immediate impact, contributing six goals and two assists in his first six league matches. Osimhen has also scored twice and provided an assist in three Europa League appearances.
His excellent performances have attracted the attention of potential suitors, but Osimhen has confirmed he intends to fulfill his loan term at Galatasaray, with a return to Napoli currently off the table.
