Turkish Super Lig: Osimhen shines in debut game as Galatasaray beat Rizespor 5-0

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen made a strong debut for Galatasaray, although a remarkable goal was ruled out.

The 25-year-old Nigerian, who transferred from Napoli in a high-profile move, was eager to make an impact.

Osimhen contributed significantly in the match against Rizespor on Saturday. In the 25th minute, he assisted A. Bardakcı, whose header put Galatasaray 2-0 up, following Davidson Sanchez’s opening goal in the 3rd minute.

The match also featured Nigerian players Olawoyin Ibrahim and David Akintola from Rizespor, adding extra interest to the game. Despite a slow start, Galatasaray soon took control, and Osimhen was determined to leave his mark in his first outing.

With high expectations accompanying his move to Galatasaray, Osimhen’s established role with the Nigerian national team only adds to the anticipation surrounding his performances.
