Two personnel of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), identified as Archibong Udoh and Ayodele Blessing, along with two civilians, have been arrested in connection with the alleged torture and death of a petrol station attendant, Joseph Fada, in Kaduna.

The civilians arrested are Amina Abdurrazaq, the manager of Albash Filling Station where the deceased worked, and the owner of the medicine store where Fada was taken after he became unconscious.

Reports indicate that the manager had handed Fada over to the Air Force officers, accusing him of misappropriating ₦335,000 from fuel sales. In an attempt to recover the money, the officers reportedly detained and tortured Fada at the 413 Force Protection Group of the Nigerian Air Force in Kaduna.

During the ordeal, Fada lost consciousness and was rushed to a nearby medicine store for treatment. He was confirmed dead shortly after arrival.

Spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, Mansir Hassan, confirmed the arrests in a statement to Channels Television. He said the suspects were taken into custody after the case was transferred from the Airport Police Division.

Hassan added that all four individuals have been detained for further investigation, and the deceased’s body has been deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.

He assured the public that the police are working closely with the Nigerian Air Force to ensure that justice is served.
