The Sole Administrator of Vandeikya Local Government in Benue State, Mr. Dennis Akura, has said two people were allegedly killed during a clash between residents of Mbaduku in Vandeikya Council and Obudu Local Government in Cross River State.

Fielding questions from reporters, he said Obudu farmers allegedly invaded Mbaduku and destroyed a cassava farm. Akura said the action caused a fight, during which two people were allegedly killed.

He said he and his counterpart from Cross River State intervened and resolved the crisis.

Akura hailed security agents for maintaining peace at border communities.

He renewed his call on the National Boundary Commission to heed the instruction by Governor Samuel Ortom to complete work on the demarcation of the area, to end border clashes.
