The Police Command in Kaduna State says it has arrested two notorious bandits in Sabon Gaya village in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Muhammad Jalije, made the disclosure in a statement issued on Wednesday in Kaduna.
Jalige said on Feb. 15, operatives attached to the Toll Gate Division alongside civilian JTF acting on credible intelligence, succeeded in apprehending two notorious kidnappers, who were on the wanted list of some security agencies.
According to him, the criminal elements were arrested around Sabon Gaya village in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
“The suspects were identified by one of their victims who had his hand amputated by the said criminals while in their captivity on Feb. 8, 2022.
“The suspects confessed to have carried out several kidnappings around Sabon Gaya and Kaduna –Abuja road,” he said.
He said that efforts were currently geared towards recovering their operating logistics as well as a possible arrest of their accomplices to face the full wrath of the law.
Jalije said the state commissioner of police appealed to all communities to cooperate with security agencies to stem the activities of criminals in the state. (NAN)
