Two perish in Sokoto Deputy Governor’s convoy accident

Two persons have lost their lives in a mishap involving the convoy of Sokoto State Deputy Governor, Muhammad Idris Gobir. The victims, identified as a police officer and a photographer, were returning to the state capital on Wednesday following the deputy governor’s official visit to Sabon Birni.

The unfortunate incident occurred while the victims were part of the deputy governor’s entourage. The Sokoto State Police Command officially confirmed the incident in a statement released on Wednesday.

Ahmed Rufai, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, reported that the accident involved a pilot vehicle within the deputy governor’s convoy. Other individuals who sustained injuries in the incident were reported to be receiving medical attention at the Usmanu Danfodio University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto metropolis.
