Benue State PDP governorship candidate for next year’s general elections, Rt Hon Titus Uba has expressed sadness over the attack on Gbeji community in Ukum Local Government Area by armed bandits.
The guber candidate condemns the attack in strong terms, describing it as unwarranted and despicable and sympathizes with families of the dead and injured, including security personnels that laid down their lives in defence of the people.
He regrets that in spite of efforts being made by the Ortom administration to defend and protect the people from such wanton attacks, the armed bandits have continued to unleash mayhem on innocent citizens of the State.
Engr. Uba however calls on security operatives in the State to intensify surveillance in the villages most especially in attack – prone areas to avert further killing of Benue people.
