UCL: PSG beat Barcelona 4-1

Barcelona suffered another humiliating defeat in a Champions League knockout round match on Tuesday night.

The Catalan giants were beaten 4-1 by Paris Saint-Germain on their home turf.

This comes six months from their shocking 8-2 defeat at Camp Nou against Bayern Munich.

Kylian Mbappe was the star of the show, helping himself to a stunning hat-trick. Moise Kean netted PSG’s other goal, while Lionel Messi broke the deadlock in the first half from the penalty spot.

The Catalans will now need a miracle when they travel to Paris next month for them to reach this season’s Champions League quarter-finals.

Even Barça manager Ronald Koeman believes his side are effectively out of the competition.

“You always have to play another game but 1-4 is very difficult because, and I could lie, but losing 4-1 at home, there’s hardly any chance of getting through,” the Dutchman said, per Sport, after the match.
