The vibrant atmosphere of unity and cultural celebration filled the air as the 2023 Convention of the Idoma Association USA took place in Dallas, Texas.
The convection is the gathering of Idoma sons and daughters in the USA.
This year’s convention was attended by prominent Idoma sons and daughters, including Senator Abba Moro, Governor Hyacinth Alia, who was ably represented by Pro. Steve Ugba.
The association also elected a new executive to be led by Chief Edwin Ochai.
The Idoma Association, USA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of the Idoma people in the United States. The association aims to foster unity, welfare, and socio-cultural development among Idoma community members residing in the USA.
The absence of Governor Hyacinth Alia was made up for by the presence of Prof. Ugba, who stood as a capable representative of the governor. Prof. Ugba, a well-known academic and respected figure, delivered a heartfelt message on behalf of Gov. Alia, expressing the governor’s support for the Idoma community’s endeavors in the United States.
At the convention, the association took the opportunity to elect a new executive committee, tasked with leading the Idoma Association, USA, into a new era of progress and development. Chief Edwin Ochai emerged as the elected President, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to promoting the welfare and cultural heritage of the Idoma people.
