The United Kingdom has expanded its list of organizations licensed to sponsor workers under the worker and temporary worker immigration routes.
As of the latest update on Friday, August 23, there are now 119,195 approved companies on the list. Interested Nigerians looking to work in the UK are encouraged to visit these companies’ websites to search for available job vacancies.
The approved organizations span various sectors, including technology, commerce, education, media, advertising, and engineering.
According to the UK government, a Skilled Worker visa allows individuals to come to or stay in the UK for an eligible job with an approved employer. The skilled worker route encompasses various roles such as charity workers, creative workers, senior or specialist global business mobility workers, and international sportspeople.
The UK government states, “You must have a job offer from an approved UK employer before you apply for a Skilled Worker visa. Approved employers are also known as sponsors because they are sponsoring you to come to or stay in the UK.”
