Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly and PDP governorship candidate for the 2023 general elections, Rt Hon Titus Uba has called for unity of purpose among PDP House of Assembly candidates to win next year’s general election and deliver dividends of democracy to Benue people.
Uba stated this, Tuesday, 18th October, 2022 when he played host to PDP House of Assembly candidates in his Makurdi private residence.
The guber hopeful who appreciated them for the visit said, if elected as governor, his administration would collaborate with the House in the business of governance while still emphasizing the principle of separation of powers with its accompanying principle of checks and balances.
He noted that as an experienced Lawmaker, he would provide a level playing field for the House to discharge its functions effectively and charged them to mobilize support for the party to sail to victory come 2023.
Earlier, the group had informed that they had come to assure the guber candidate of their readiness to work in solidarity with him as they head into electioneering campaigns.
In their separate remarks, Barr Terseer Anongo of Katsina ala east who spoke for zone ‘A’, Engr. Bernard Manger of Tarka for zone ‘B’ and Barr John Abba of Otukpo/ Akpa for zone ‘ C’ said, given the pedigree and antecedents of Engr. Uba as well as his track record of performance in the private and public sectors, they were confident that he would not disappoint Benue people if elected.
