University don killed in Benue
ASP Moses Yanmu, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Makurdi that the lecturer was shot on the chest by gunmen on Tuesday.

He said that the late university don, Wilfred Aondosoo Tondo died at Benue State Teaching Hospital Makurdi where he was rushed to, adding that the police had commenced investigations to arrest the gunmen.
Yanmu appealed to people with useful information that would lead to the arrest of the culprits to volunteer it to security agencies.

NAN reports that the deceased lecturer was a chairmanship aspirant in the state.
