Three youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State have died in a tragic motor accident while traveling to Lafia, Nasarawa State, to attend the party’s North Central Zonal Congress.

The victims have been identified as Hon. Anawo Benjamin of Orokam Ward 3, Hon. Ogbe Enemari of Ai-oono Ward 3, and Hon. Abraham Enenche of Olachagbaha Ward. They reportedly died at the scene, while several other members of the delegation sustained varying injuries and are receiving medical treatment.

The fatal crash occurred along the Makurdi–Lafia road on Wednesday, cutting short the lives of the young party leaders who were on official party duty.

Reacting to the incident, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, the 2023 APC Benue South senatorial candidate, described the tragedy as heartbreaking. He praised the deceased as committed grassroots politicians whose dedication and loyalty significantly contributed to the party’s growth.

Onjeh extended his condolences to the families of the victims and the APC family in Ogbadibo and across Benue State, praying for divine strength to bear the loss. He also called for unity among party members and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Similarly, Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, described the crash as traumatic and devastating, especially given that multiple lives were lost from the same local government area.

He sympathized with the families, friends, and political associates of the deceased, praying for the repose of their souls and divine comfort for those left behind. Moro also wished the injured a swift recovery.
