Update on terrible accident involving Benue Links bus in Otukpo

A Benue Links bus with Reg. Number (LV 1197) at about 7pm on the night of 13th december, 2020 was involved in an accident by the fence of Elabo Technical College, Okpafulo – Adoka, Otukpo LGA, Benue State.

At the scene of the incident, an eye witness said the accident occurred as a result of the driver trying to dodge a pothole on the road that resulted in the burst of the front tyre of the driver side resulting in the vehicle to skid- off the road and ram into a ditch.

Though no life was lost, passengers in the bus was said to have sustained different degrees of injury and were rushed to May Memorial Hospital, Adoka Centre.

The vehicle is said to have loaded passengers from Ilorin heading to Makurdi when the accident occurred at Okpafulo-Adoka which is 70km away to Makurdi said to be the final destination.
