Veteran actor Segun Arinze clears air on viral sick photos

Veteran Nollywood actor Segun Arinze has dismissed online rumours suggesting he is ill and in need of financial assistance.

The speculation arose after photos of the actor looking frail with a swollen stomach surfaced on social media, sparking concerns among fans. However, in a video shared via his Instagram page on Friday, Arinze assured the public that he is in good health.

Clarifying the situation, he explained that the viral images were taken on a movie set and do not reflect his actual condition. He expressed gratitude to those who reached out to check on him and urged fans to be cautious of scammers attempting to exploit the situation.

The actor warned against falling for fraudulent donation schemes, emphasizing that he does not require any financial assistance.

“I want to thank my fans, friends, and associates all over the world for their calls and messages. As you can see, I am perfectly fine. Those pictures were taken from a film set, and I don’t understand why some people chose to spread misinformation,” he said.

Arinze reaffirmed his commitment to the Nigerian film industry, vowing to continue contributing to its growth while appreciating the unwavering support of his fans.
