Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has completed his medicals ahead of a highly anticipated move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.

Bayer Leverkusen has agreed to a €60 million transfer deal for the 24-year-old forward, according to reports from SkySport Germany.

Boniface is set to earn a remarkable €15 million net per season with the Riyadh-based club.

Al-Nassr’s interest in the Akure-born striker has intensified in recent weeks, as they look to replace Anderson Talisca, who is set to depart.

Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso confirmed on Tuesday that talks between the two clubs are progressing, with Boniface at the centre of the discussions.

The move comes just a week after Boniface extended his contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2026. Once finalized, he will become the second-most expensive player to leave the Bundesliga club, following Kai Havertz’s €80 million transfer to Chelsea in 2020.

Boniface will join an elite team at Al-Nassr, alongside global stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Aymeric Laporte.

Having joined Leverkusen in July 2023 for €20.5 million, Boniface made an immediate impact, scoring 14 goals in 23 Bundesliga matches during his debut season and helping the team secure the league title unbeaten.

His impressive performances earned him the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award, with Boniface winning the monthly equivalent four times.

Though sidelined with a thigh injury since November, Boniface has still managed to score eight goals in 15 games this season for Leverkusen.
