VIDEO: Tanker overturns at Tincan Liverpool Bridge, residents scoop fuel

A fuel tanker carrying premium motor spirit (PMS) has overturned at the Tincan Liverpool Bridge in Apapa, Lagos.

Footage shared by Channels Television on Monday morning captured the moment residents rushed to the scene, scooping fuel leaking from the fallen tanker beneath the bridge.

“Happening now at Tincan Liverpool Bridge, Apapa: A tanker overturned, with people scooping its contents from underneath the bridge,” Channels TV reported.

Incidents involving overturned fuel tankers and subsequent explosions have remained frequent across Nigeria, despite repeated public safety warnings on the severe risks associated with salvaging spilled petroleum products.
