Villagers kill suspected bandit in Zamfara

On Friday, residents of Kwatarkwashi district in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State killed a suspected bandit along the Gusau-Zaria highway.

A local villager, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed that community members identified the man as one of the criminals terrorizing the area, pursued him, and killed him. After the confrontation, the villagers recovered two sophisticated firearms from the suspect.

“The body of the bandit was left on the Gusau-Zaria highway while residents continued their daily activities,” the source added.

This incident follows the recent interception of two suspected informers near the Kura area, not far from the same location.
