Dr. Vwaere Diaso, the medical professional tragically killed in a fatal elevator incident at General Hospital, Lagos Island, has been laid to rest.
As previously reported by TheCable, the unfortunate incident unfolded when an elevator plummeted from the 10th floor of the hospital, resulting in the untimely passing of Dr. Diaso. She was in the elevator en route to the ground floor to collect a delivery from a dispatch rider when the tragic accident took place.
On Tuesday, Dr. Diaso’s sister, identified by the username Ese, shared a series of Twitter posts confirming her sister’s burial. She expressed gratitude to all those who offered their support and reassured that Dr. Diaso’s memory would endure.
“Today, my sister was laid to rest. The pain experienced by my family and me is beyond words,” the message stated.
Dr. Diaso was not just another instance of the Nigerian government’s shortcomings for many. She was a cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, girlfriend, friend, and niece – a dedicated healthcare professional who tirelessly aided others.
