‘Wait till 2031’ – Ganduje tells Atiku, Obi

Abdullahi Ganduje, the chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has hailed the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the election victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to Ganduje, this judgement serves as strong evidence that the presidential election held on February 25 was not manipulated, as claimed by the opposition.

In a statement released on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje extended his congratulations to Tinubu and emphasized that the Supreme Court’s verdict has conclusively dismissed all allegations raised by the opposition parties. He encouraged Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Labour Party’s candidate to patiently await their political ambitions until 2031 when Tinubu would have completed his second term.

Ganduje believes that this verdict offers an opportunity for President Tinubu to focus on fulfilling the “Renewed Hope” mandate of the APC for the betterment of all Nigerians. He called on Atiku and Obi to put aside their differences and join hands with President Tinubu in order to contribute to the nation’s progress and development.

Ganduje expressed, “Nigeria belongs to all of us, it is our responsibility as patriots to pool our resources together to move the country forward. I congratulate both Atiku and Obi on their dogged fight in extending the frontiers of our democracy and law.

“This is democracy. Tinubu’s victory is another victory for democratic rule in the country. There is still room for both Obi and Atiku to actualize their presidential aspiration after the second term tenure of President Tinubu in 2031.”

Ganduje also called on all Nigerians, regardless of their political affiliations, to unite and work together to help the President deliver further dividends of democracy and set the country on a path of sustainable progress.
