A Soldier was shot yesterday in Nyuwar community in Balanga council of Gombe State as the Waja and Lunguda tribes clashed on the Adamawa border.
Nyuwar is about two hours drive from Gombe, the capital of Gombe State.
Am eyewitness, Edwin Alokhi said violence broke out earlier in the day when Waja youths attacked Nyuwar, shooting one of the soldiers stationed to maintain peace in the community after the April, last year attack.
He said the youths, who outnumbered the security operatives, later went on rampage setting houses on fire and attacking women and children.
